海辺のとある旅館の女将の竜子は、夜分風呂で泣きながら自分の身体を慰めている。竜子は数日前、夫・実を亡くしたばかりだった。結婚当初、病弱で文学青年の実に対して竜子は辛辣にあたっていた。そんなある日、マイペースの実が珍しく優しく竜子を抱きしめてくれた。しかしその実はもういない…。
