とある山村に住む3人の親子。村一番の地主である父、三味線の師範である義理の母、そして娘・久江。ある日、三味線を習う若者・郁夫が久江に結婚を申し込む。義母は賛成するが、父は認めなかった。その夜、薄暗い倉の中で久江と郁夫は愛し合うが、久江は父に認めてもらうまでと、最後まではさせなかった…。
