花子と堅吉の夫婦は、花子の母が死ぬまで住んでいた下町の二軒長屋に引っ越してきた。簡単に荷物を整理して出前のそばを食べていると、ろくに挨拶もせずあがりこんで一緒にそばを食べ始めた男がいる。隣の住人、草加千平である。下町で生まれ育った花子はこうした遠慮のない交際には慣れていたが、山の手育ちの堅吉は不愉快だった。 特集： 成人 人妻特集
