深雪は、新人看護婦。彼女は婦長和歌子とコンビを組むことになった。和歌子はいつも、背筋をピッと伸ばした大変厳しい婦長で、看護婦仲間たちからはお局呼ばわりされていた。それから数時間後、ナースコールが鳴った。深雪がインターホンで答えようとすると、和歌子が先に出て病室へ行ってしまった。慌てて深雪は後を追う。
