ホームヘルパーの公子は、介護をしてはその人の預金から無断で金を引き出しくすねていた。そんなことを繰り返していたある日、派遣会社に公子への苦情が殺到。ばれたと知った公子は、整形手術で顔を変えて蒸発する。数年後、悠子と名乗る公子は伊豆のペンションで働いていた。よく働く悠子を見初めた亭主の健二は、彼女に結婚を申し込む。しかし、素性を知られないよう、悠子は再び逃亡を企て…。
