親父の三回忌。ひとり気ままな暮らしを送っていた息子のもとに、ある日、親父の教え子だったという女性が現れる。生前大学の講師をしていた親父。彼女はその時の教え子だと言う。線香を上げたいと言う女性を招き入れ親父との思い出話を語らうと、女性が語る思い出話には、息子の知りえ無い、生前の親父の真の姿があった。是非その時の恩返しを青年にしたいと女性は言うのだが…。
