女は、女であるゆえに常に虐げられてきた。歴史の裏側にはこうした女たちの流した血がしみついている。このドラマは長い歴史の中に埋もれていた数々の凄惨な記録を発掘し、見捨てられていた拷問の系譜をなまなましく再現した異色特作である。内容は明治維新、大正末期、昭和初期の三つの時代から取材した物語から構成され、中村幻児の鮮烈なシナリオを俊英山本晋也がドキュメンタリータッチで意欲溢れる演出を見せている。異色の物語と異色のキャストは正に必見の衝撃作といえる重厚な映画を創り出している。（C）新東宝映画
