パニックルーム5は2年前のとある真冬の寒い日に撮影されたものです。監督が発売を躊躇し、出演の加藤は「もう1度やりなおしたい」、桐原は「わたしにとって引退作のようなもの」という後日談からも想像できるようにパニック史上もっともカオスな空間で狂気に満ちた作品になっております。この作品は本当に発売を躊躇しましたが、パニックルーム1～4をすべて観て頂いたパニックルームファンの方のために発売をしました。
