目的も無く毎日を送る時男は高校時代の同級生・宏江の母で大学教授の綾子と久しぶりに再会し、心をひかれる。そんな中、東京の大学に通いながら不倫相手の子供を身ごもった宏江が帰郷。綾子は同僚教師との関係を絶って時男に抱かれるが…。本作品は、若い男との愛欲に溺れるインテリ熟女の心情を繊細に描き出す秀作である。
