桂木慎介は錦絵専門の貧乏画家。彼には美佐代という若い後妻がいた。彼らのもとにある日、画商の太田黒が来る。彼はこれからは売れる枕絵を描いて欲しいと慎介に頼み、参考資料として春画集を置いていった。翌日、美佐代は兄嫁・綾子から呼び出しを受ける…。
